SON OF A PREACHER MAN

Synopsis

Son Of A Preacher Man is the story of three characters from three different age groups who come to London to visit the site of ‘The Preacher Man’, the famous record store run in the sixties by the legendary Preacher Man himself. They are each looking for answers to problems of unrequited love. But the store is gone – and the Preacher Man too – and all that is left is his son... the last person on earth you would go to for a remedy for matters of the heart.

Or so you would think. During the course of the show... to a background of Dusty Springfield classics... events take an unexpected turn. The Son of the Preacher Man proves oddly effective in bringing people together – though they may not, of course, always be the people you thought would come together in the first place. As the ethos of ‘The Preacher Man’ rises once more, the son proves to be his father’s equal and no stranger himself to the look of love.
